Torani Flavored Syrups + GIVEAWAY
I received these the other day to try out. What are they? Thanks for asking! They are Torani flavored syrups to put in your coffee that are supposed to liven it up.
I don't drink coffee, but I decided to give the peppermint flavor a shot. I love the smell of coffee, but it's always tasted pretty bland to me and I don't like adding any milk or sugar to things just to get them to taste better. Tea, on the other hand, makes me get out of bed every morning. I drink it plain and absolutely love it.
Anyways, the box that these came in also came with a recipe book for things you could make with the different flavors of syrup from Torani.
I immediately went to the "Cocktails" tab and started looking through the recipes for alcoholic drinks. Dealing with customers every day has turned me into quite the alcohol connoisseur. They have a recipe called a Peanut Brittle Caramella that looks good but I didn't get that flavor of syrup in the package so I couldn't make it. Not until I buy the right syrup for it. Hmm...clever marketing tactic, Torani.
So I decided to get a cup of coffee at the store and throw a splash of the Peppermint flavor into it. Imagine my surprise when regular customers stood there and watched me do this and all because they had never seen me drink a cup of coffee before. I make it known that I am an avid tea drinker. And yes, when I admit that I'm a tea drinker, I get a lot of teabagging jokes thrown my way.
I'm not going to bore you with exact descriptions of how my taste buds bursted at the seams while reacting to coffee + peppermint flavored syrup, but I am going to say that it was actually quite good. I could taste the peppermint flavor and it made the coffee taste sweet.
I have discovered since that these flavored syrups can go in just about any drink. One that I will try next is called a Candy Cane Steamer.
But here's the good part! I've been given some coupons for FREE bottles of this stuff! And not the small, dinky bottles, either. These coupons are good for the BIG ones! This is good stuff here people!
To enter, just leave a comment below letting me know if you've ever tried this stuff before.
Two lucky winners will each get a coupon good for a FREE bottle of Torani syrup. Yes, just a coupon. You didn't think I'd send you a bottle in the mail, did you? With the outrageous shipping prices going on these days??
This giveaway ends on November 21, 2011 and the two random winners will be announced on November 22, 2011.

Oh I am a sucker for coffee! I'm one of those guys that drinks coffee with lunch in the middle of summer(I'm weird I know) I'll have to seriously give this a try, thanks!:)
ReplyDeleteDamn I was gonna throw a tea party joke at you but never mind, I don't want to annoy someone who I think is a mixture of cool and awesome, coolsome??/shutting up....
I love the Hazlenut flavor!
ReplyDeleteThe vanilla is surprisingly good in tea, as well. :-)
I'm not a coffee person... I can never get it to taste the way I wish it would. My BF on the other hand... ugh he drinks a whole pot before I even wake up in the morning! He's always begging me to become a coffee person like him =0P
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these syrups. My favorite is to make Italian sodas with them- just some club soda and syrup to taste- you can also add some creme or half and half for an extra delicious treat. My favorite is the blood orange (w/o dairy) and vanilla (w/ dairy).
ReplyDeleteI have tried Torani's white chocolate syrup. I'm sure the other flavors are good too, but I haven't tried them yet. The white chocolate is very hard to find around these parts.
ReplyDeleteI've had the Raspberry before. I loved it on ice cream.
ReplyDeleteDiane in WA State.
I love flavored coffee. And this time of the year is Peppermint mocho time. oh yeah.
ReplyDeleteNot a coffee person unless its an eggnog latte, so needless to say I only drink it in the winter time BUT my husband needs coffee to be nice to us!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried, but they look good.
ReplyDeleteim an avid coffee drinker, so when i was reading your post i thought. WHAT! she deals with these customers w/o coffee?! LOL , i've personally never tried this brand with their syrups but i have tried the vanella before.. they just make my coffee 10000 x's better :)
ReplyDeletei've almost bought the sugar free vanilla. i love coffee. i always say yes at first and then i put it back, because i know don't need it. one of these days, i'm just going to try it.
ReplyDeletei am a freak for cappuccinos.
Would like to try this. I've seen it before but never have made the plunge to get it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGoing commercial,eh. I'm done her'.
ReplyDeleteI love Torani syrups! I'm allergic to corn syrup, so I love that they use real sugar.
ReplyDeleteI'm both a coffee and tea drinker. Usually I like a cup of coffee in the morning, but then I drink tea throughout the day. These syrups are great in iced tea in the summer for when you want your tea sweet but don't want the grainy sugar that never seems to dissolve.
Never tried it, but I'm sure the peppermint would be awesome in hot chocolate! :)
ReplyDeleteHave never tried any Torani Syrups-- they sound really good though--

I love the raspberry flavor in Italian sodas. So tasty!
ReplyDeleteI tried one of these years ago but can't remember the flavor. They're kind of expensive and I never bought another bottle - but they are definitely good!
ReplyDeleteI've tried it and love it! My favorite coffee shop uses Torani syrups. And it's made right here in Oregon with NO high fructose corn syrup!

I've never tried it, but I'm not much of a coffee fan either... now cocktails are a different story! I wonder how it would taste in hot chocolate...
ReplyDeleteThis is new to me, I've never tried any other syrups in my coffee except Eggo's syrup, when I'm low on creamer. So many flavors to choose from though.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big coffe guy but I'm willing to live dangerously... just this one time of course.
