Product Review: Neuro-Sleep

We just got in a big display full of these Neuro-type drinks. There's Neuro-Gasm, Neuro-Sonic, Neuro-Sun, Neuro-Sleep, Neuro-Aqua, Neuro-Bliss, Neuro-Sport and Neuro-Trim.

I've decided that since I can't sleep at night without dreaming about my store that I will try the one called NeuroSleep.

However, I am a bit weary.

The salesman that came in for these was telling us about each one and how good they worked. He said that at the last store he went to, one of the employees there had tried the NeuroSleep and ended up peeing his pants. I'm not sure if that was during the day or while he was sleeping.

That must have been some pretty good stuff! He also said that many people try it and get really drowsy and are able to have a full night's sleep.

Naturally I think it's a load of bull, but whatever. It contains Melatonin, just like the Lazy Cakes, so I'm sure it will have some effect of sleepiness on me.

Let's just hope I don't piss myself in the middle of the night. I will post my update on it after I've tried it.

Has anyone tried any of these? The Neuro-Gasm sounds interesting.

  1. LOL I was wondering the same thing about the Neuro-Gasm...what exactly is that supposed to accomplish? *waggling eyebrows* Let us know how it works!!

  2. i drink the neuro sleep all the time right after working night shift. The neuro bliss is bunk, it didnt leave me relaxed, at least not as relaxed as a cigarette... They do make me need to go to the bathroom alot though.

  3. I've tried the Neuro Bliss as well, awful awful taste, I couldn't make it through it to be able to even have an honest opinion on it.

  5. I walked in the gas station and the bottles caught my attension.
I read all the titles on the bottles for what there supposed to do. I rolled my eyes and figured id try one. Not beleiving the shit it said. But out of all the flavors orange was my fav so i took it home and downed it. It tasted great but i was still thirsty afterwards. About an hr later i was cleaning my house and just got so tired i had to laydown. I even told my husband that i thought my thyroid was acting up bc i was so tired that i just couldnt stay awake. I slept 4 hrs and it was great sleep. I kept the bottle and put my crystal light in it. I kept looking at the bottle and figured id google it and here i am. Trust me the sleep one works. At least for me it was amazing. And since i have horriable insomonia i think im gunna start buying more of them. Even though just a bottle here in indiana is almost 3 dollars too me to sleep its well worth it. :)

  6. The Neurosleep works. I think the process is that the synthetic Triptophan is meant to knock you down while the Melotonin holds you down once you're knocked down. A full bottle kept me asleep for about 5-6 hours straight through. A trick for those afraid of peeing themselves while asleep: only drink half a bottle. You can wake up, do your business in the middle of the night, then sleep a little more.

  7. I bought a nerosleep at the store, not believing all the hype about it. That night I drank it and instantly i felt drowsy. I woke up in the morning and felt refreshed. This stuff works.

  8. Cheaper to buy a bottle of 3mg Melotonin...A lot of study has shown Triptophan doesn't really make you drowsy. It never has. In fact you'll find as much Triptophan in eggs as you'd find in turky. Just get a bottle of melotonin and save your money when it comes to buying a pretty bottle of hype......My straight melotonin pills work just fine to put me down and keep me down for a night's sleep.

  9. i was at the grocery store saw it 2 for 5 bucks. got the neuro sleep. was very skeptical since i used to take 300mgs of trazadone and 20mgs of ambien before bed for my insomnia and that couldnt even put me out when i stopped them. let me tell you i was one surprised s.o.b. it felt amazing being able to have 6 7 hrs of sleep waking up early and not feeling crappy and groggy. i for once slept like a baby and loved it. sure buying melatonin pills is cheaper but this drink works way better for me. i may end up buying 30 40 dollars worth on pay day.

    1. I agree there is something about the liquid formula that works. I was totally sceptical but was asleep 30 minutes later

  10. Actually, the "tryptophan" you guys are talking about is really nearly to the point of being serotonin (or even melatonin) in the biosynthesis pathway, which is 5 hydroxytryptomine, derived from tryptophan. 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is what is in the drink, and it is easily converted to those two compounds in the brain and body. The reason it works better than pills for some people is simply because of the addition of the 5-HTP; tryptophan doesn't always get converted to that compound, but the 5-HT precursor in the drink doesn't stay like that in the body. It gets transported and converted to whichever of the two the body needs.

Cool stuff. When someone brought this up in my neurophysiology class, we spent a whole period mapping out what would happen when these were introduced externally. They should actually work (and we think they do, at least for us) These guys picked the intermediate that would be most efficient coming from a source outside the body. It's actually great for getting you back on a normal schedule of melatonin release. You naturally start to expect it, and over time, you will start to produce it if you miss the drink.

  11. Nuero sleep is the greatest. My dad had pancreatic cancer and passed away in may .His right arm tremored so anything with benydril would make it worse and he was unable to sleep. The nuero sleep one half the bottle and unisom( no benedril in it) cured the sleep problem.I drink the one half bottle with no other sleep aid and its wonderful. The last 3 weeks of my dads life were peaceful with nuero sleep. He could relax at nite but also be awake and refreshed the next day.I like the fact it was natural. The doctors and hospice wanted to drug him out but I figured this remedy out myself.Nuero sleep Thanks for coming to my dads rescue.Your product is unbelievable. The taste orange he got used to and was so thrilled he could sleep. This product is so great you should hit the hospitals up with this. We will be eternally grateful. Great product. It really works....amazing.thanks again

  12. I work third shift and was having trouble sleeping in the daytime. We saw Neuro Sleep at the grocery store and I had to try it. WOW! This stuff is amazing. Also, my 3-year-old granddaughter took only 3 or 4 sips and within 30 minutes, she took a nap. She doesn't usually take naps, especially as early as half past noon, but this stuff knocked her out and she took a 2- or 3-hour nap. That was a couple of weeks ago. She tried another 3 or 4 sips earlier today, which knocked her out for 3 1/2 hours, enough so that I could get caught up on my sleep without child care. I will be checking with her pediatrician to see if it is safe, but only 3 or 4 sips shouldn't be enough to hurt anyone, right?

  13. It says right on the bottle not to give it to children under twelve, pregnant or nursing women. You should not being giving your kids any kind of supplement that is meant for adults, their systems are still developing and process things differently. Maybe you should try a babysitter.

  14. I have trouble sleeping and even with a prescribed sleep aid, It still takes me a while to fall asleep. I've tried this three times and fell asleep within ten minutes all three time, but it doesn't keep me asleep. If I drink it w/o the prescription, I still wake up several times in the night. I drank one a couple nights ago, though, and had to get uWp and pee three times in 5 hours, but I was menstruating too, so that makes me have to go more.

  15. "When someone brought this up in my neurophysiology class, we spent a whole period mapping out what would happen when these were introduced externally"

dude, if your neurophys teacher thought this would work you should demand your money back because he/she obviously is an idiot. yes, it will convert in the periphery, but it won't cross the blood-brain barrier in substantial concentrations so it probably will do next to nothing in your brain.

tryptophan is in allllllllll proteins (beef, pork, turkey, eggs, veggies, etc... not much in corn, but otherwise it's everywhere) so it would be very dangerous if the human body got sleepy every time you ate something. the reason people get sleepy at thanksgiving is because they eat too much damn food, not because of the turkey

  16. I'm a 7-11 drink fanatic, if they have something new I try it. Neuro Sleep works, it actually works better for me than melatonin alone. I generally take 15mg of melatonin a night because I have problems falling asleep.

  17. Slept long and slept deeply but had outrageous nightmares both times I tried this thing. Not going to go there again.

  18. I tried the pills from the local vitamin/supplement store and didn't feel a thing.

I drink Neurosleep and I feel it right away. I'm about to run out to the store and get bottle.

  19. I bought some Neuro-Sleep for my wife a couple of weeks ago. She gets wicked cramps at night sometimes and has trouble sleeping most nights. She drank it and was fast asleep in 20 minutes and had a restful, relaxing sleep. Last night I bought some for my wife AND myself, as I hadn't tried it the first time I got if for my wife. Within 20-30 minutes of drinking the Neuro-Sleep I was starting to feel "fuzzy" inside and very drowsy. Kind of like the way you would if you took pain medication like vicodin or oxycodone. Anyway, it wasn't just a placebo affect or anything, it really did work for me.

  20. Past two night, before last night, I could hardly get to sleep. Of course these nights were the the nights before work days that would be long and/or hard days. One of them was a 13 hour day, and I work in moving(as in old house ~~~ new house). Trust me, working a 13 hour moving day and sleeping only + / - 3 hours is not what you'd call enjoyable. Most wouldn't even think it doable. I'm one of those Wirey little guys, though.

Anyhow, I picked up two bottles of the Neuro Sleep last night...right as my two best friends were heading out. Not long after i get home, they call to tell me they had to turn around, as one had left his phone here. I was literally falling asleep leaned over onto my desk upon my forehead. By the time they got back and i got them the phone, i laid down and was fast asleep. Didn't toss or turn, wake up, anything. As for urinary problems, I'm not sure that is related directly to the drink and if oyu have such problems you might go see a doctor about that..

  21. I also saw this bottle one day and was doubtful of its effectiveness (as I am with any drink that promises effects you would get from a drug), but decided "What the hell" and drank a bottle of the "Sleep" while doing my grocery shopping. I got home about 30 mins later, at around 4pm, and 30 mins later, I was out COLD. I woke up around 10pm thinking it was 6am, realized what time it was, and fell back asleep. I don't work for Neuro, I have no stake in whether or not anyone buys this drink; all I can say is that it works, and it works well.

  23. I am also a conveniance store cashier who works 3rd shift. I was in desperate need of sum consecutive sleep. Seemed by the time i finally tapped out, it was time to get up and get my daughter from school. Tried Neuro sleep and must say im impressed. Worked quickly and there was no groggy feeling when i woke up. Just fell asleep, stayed asleep and woke up refreshed for once. Been drinking it ever since. A big thank you to whom ever came up w this awesome product!!

  24. I swear by it,and am a total skeptic ...I drink it a couple times a week. I down a bottle and get relaxed and calm for about 1.5 hours, very calm. them I sleep all might....I do get up to pre though bit have no problems going right back to bed.
    true story

  25. Stuff knocked me out, to the point of sort of freaking me out (since I was sure that at the most, I'd get a little melatonin effect and nothing else).

Sure wouldn't want to drink it and drive, and half a bottle is quite sufficient. I was very surprised that it had any effect at all, let alone that much. Melatonin has some effect on me, this stuff had far more, and a different feel to it.

Glad I didn't bet any money against it.

  26. Great drink research the ingredients for neuro sleep. The high level of magnesium citrate is great for muscle relaxtion and overall health as it is a critical mineral in our diets we don't get enough of. L-Theanine promotes Alpha Wave production while increasing GABA and Dopamine levels. The 5HTP and tryptophan converts to serotonin then into melatonin, which is also in the drink.

  29. Neuro Sleep has been my go-to drink for those nights that I feel like a crazy insomniac. It works. I can drink and fall asleep within 30 minutes then sleep like a baby for at least 6 hours.

  30. Tried Sleep last night, knocked me right out. Woke up like it had only been a 5 minute difference. Kinda scary. It was 6 hours. Bliss also works wonders. It creates a happier and more positive outlook, after only 5 drinks. Bliss is my favorite by far.

  31. i drink the neuro sleep regularly as i have recently quit tokin' the refer, and guess what it's the natural substance called Tryptophan, (same thing in turkey that makes you sleepy), that makes you sleep well. and it works great i sleep through the night with ease, and i have never pee'd my pants and i have been drinking it for 2 years now, ever since it came out on the market. it is all natural and i even give it to my kids when they have trouble sleeping and it works great. and fyi, none of my kids have peed the bed while using it either so that guy must have had some other issue! hahahaha AAA+++ product as for all the other neuro products, havent noticed a difference with any of them

  32. Just finished a bottle of the Sleep in about 20 minutes and am now falling asleep as I write this. Very very nice feeling as I am known to have insomnia as well, I have a feeling I will sleep well tonight. Thanks Neuro!!! I will make this a regular drink in my home. A+

  33. Haven't tried any other ones, but for someone with Hyperthyroidism and doesn't sleep well, these are amazing! I tried one desperate to find something non-addictive but aids sleep and tried one of these. Drank it, felt fine for about an hour, then it hit like a train and I could barely keep my eyes open, motor control was gone so I staggered to bed and had the best sleep I have had in YEARS! I grab one every once in awhile when I need a good sleep, but I have tried to get addicted to them with no luck. Tried them for a month straight and had no problem not drinking them after that, they aren't addictive but they work! Both thumbs up! And both eyes closed! Zzzzz...

  34. Also, never peed the bed like the article said one guy did. Maybe that guy was a fluke, just drank too many Neuros before bed! Haha! But I had no problems with it, neither has anyone else I know that has used it because I have told lots of people about them and they are really enjoyed it as well.

  36. Interesting article. Very insightful. I came across another really good sleep drink that you can drink before bed to make you feel sleepy. It’s the only one I’ve found that really worked for me and I've tried most all of em. If you have any trouble with insomnia like me, this would really help you get to sleep. It's natural ingredients too which is cool. It’s called Level25. It's good for stress and anxiety as well.
