Dear Customer....

Dear Customer,

Please don't bring a doughnut up to the register with a bite taken out of it and ask if you can have it half price because it's half eaten.

It wasn't funny the first 100 times I heard it from people, it's still not funny today.

Sincerely Up Yours,

Cashier

  1. Customers really know how to crack themselves up. Too bad they can't be original. :)

  4. I've actually done that and thought I was original. Someone should have thrown something at me. My apologies, I'll never do it again.

  5. How about a fourth off? Three-fourths? Would that be funnier?

  7. Enjoy your site! Visiting from Lady Bloggers Society "tea party," which they hold every week, to check out other blogs. Yours just cracks me up - my brother works in various parts of retail hell, and he can really relate to your posts. I'm sending him the link to your latest post. "Sincerely Up Yours" - hah! great!

  9. Ok I think I have told someone this before. My apologizes for being extremely corny.

  10. I have a man friend who constantly tries to regale cashiers, waitresses, or anyone he encounters with his stupid funny remarks. In the first place, they aren't funny and in the second place, having worked as a cashier, I'd rather just do my transaction and not be distracted with some fool's bullshit.
